The primary purpose of this position is to provide instructional support for the Department of Mass Communications’ experiential learning labs, namely to assist students with audio/film/video class assignments; and to provide and maintain technology/equipment to support student assignments. This is a permanent part-time non-benefited position working 19 or less hours weekly.Required Qualifications
High School Diploma and certification OR an Associate’s Degree required in the discipline, e.g., film, radio/television/digital communication, mass communication, or a closely related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Other required qualifications: At least one year of experience in creating high quality, professional audio/video projects in an integrated marketing agency, cinematography, corporation, or news industry. At least one year of professional experience in television and/or film pre-production, production, and post-production. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Audition, Aftereffects, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook) in both MAC and PC platforms. Proficient in operating television and video production and post-production equipment, including, but not limited to, studio and field video cameras, lighting set-up, audio, and non-linear editing. Ability to support multimedia projects from start to finish, and to create effective audio and video productions. Proficient written, oral, and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications Salary $14.48 minimum - $17.85 midpoint Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Candidate must have the ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. of equipment and have the ability to stoop and climb ladders.Does this position require any special certification/ license?
