The Computer Science Department at the College of Charleston invites applications for a one-year full-time visiting instructor position in computer science, with the potential to be extended up to one additional year. Responsibilities include teaching four undergraduate courses per semester as assigned by the department chair. Courses to be taught will likely include procedural programming in Python, Introduction to Data Science, Dataset Organization and Management, and Data Mining. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in undergraduate teaching, interest in innovative curriculum development and ability to act as a role model for Computer Science undergraduates. A successful candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering, and excellent communication skills.
