Job Details
The Department of Geography at the University of North Alabama invites applications for TWO nine-month Visiting Lecturer positions to begin in August 2019. The successful candidates will be broadly trained geographers capable of teaching both in-class and online introductory-level Physical Geography classes (Weather and Climate, and Landforms). Applicants with GIS expertise and or Hazards are preferred. Teaching load is five (5) classes per semester. Applicants with a Ph.D. in Geography or related discipline are preferred but MS holders will also be considered. UNA expects faculty to be enthusiastic, energetic, collegial, and student-centered. Review of applications will begin on June 1, 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.
Minimum qualifications include: Master’s degree in Geography or a related discipline is required, Ph.D. in Geography or a related discipline is preferred. Applicants with GIS expertise and or Hazards are preferred.
