SummaryThis position assists with the technical support of desktop computers, software applications, and related technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems, software and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve technology and user performance issues, maintaining and monitoring laptop and desktop repair processes, tracking and reporting problem trends, performing periodic hardware repair needs assessments, providing the Tulane University Medical Group Community, clinics and clinic operations with formal and informal training and user education, and assisting the Tulane University Medical Group Community with making proper technology selections. The position utilizes one-on-one communication with end users and staff. Operational and help desk activities include the triage, documentation, and resolution of customer support calls, the completion of assigned operational tasks, rounding on the clinic operations and the support of the IT security process. This position also assists with basic EMR installations, upgrades, testing, training and support. The positionÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem-solving. Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant related experience in software and systems especially in the installation and maintenance of current software, Microsoft Office applications, and Windows operating systems
- Experience supporting a variety of Wi-Fi-enabled devices
- Experience supporting remote users
