Talent Search – West TRIO Programs Advisor
Tusculum University is seeking qualified applicants for TRIO Programs Talent Search Advisor serving 6th-8th grade students in Cocke County, TN. This 12-month, full-time position reports to the Associate Director of Talent Search-West and requires some evening and weekend work. The Talent Search Advisor provides educational and career guidance to students as part of a program designed to encourage high school and college completion. Duties include identifying, recruiting, and selecting participants; collecting and maintaining data; conducting small group sessions; designing and participating in program activities (some of which entails physical exertion); collaboration with school personnel and parents. The Talent Search Advisor must have excellent communication skills and proficiency conducting virtual meetings through online meeting platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and 2 years work experience in education, social or behavioral sciences, counseling, student personnel, or related field; candidates must have knowledge and experience working with disadvantaged students and a commitment to the philosophy and goals of the program.
