Job Details
Tusculum University, a Presbyterian, civic arts, coeducational institution of higher education located on a scenic 140-acre campus in the Great Smoky Mountains region of Greeneville, Tennessee, invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of Marketing. The Director of Marketing is responsible to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid (VPEM) for developing and implementing strategic, comprehensive marketing initiatives for Tusculum University. This position will work closely with the Director of Communications, the Vice President of Enrollment Management and other personnel to contribute to the attainment of various priorities including, but not limited to: branding, enrollment, relationship building, and fund-raising. This position will be responsible for ensuring all campus publications are completed according to their agreed upon communications flow, coordinating and planning key events, developing the brand “voice” for the institution, and performing other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required in communication, advertising, English, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field. Graduate degree preferred. Three (3) years of related experience in marketing or related field with demonstrated success in driving the implementation of strategic marketing plans and tactics, preferably in a higher education setting. Proficient writing and editing skills, and experience in coordinating special events.
This position is subject to the results of pre-employment testing and a background check. If hired, the candidate will be required to submit proof of eligibility to work in the United States. All applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
