Accounting Analyst

DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum University is currently seeking applicants for a part-time Accounting Analyst. This position will report to the CFO and is responsible for performing a variety of specialized and complex record-keeping duties associated with the processing, audit, and analysis of accounting transactions. The ideal candidate will be able to prepare financial reports including ad-hoc reports needed for operational and strategic decision-making, analyze financial activities, and research audit requests.

The position will remain open until filled.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; accounting preferred.
  • Five (or more) years of relevant professional accounting experience.
  • Ability to perform standard accounting procedures
  • Strong reconciliations, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail, computer literacy, excellent customer service, and organizational skills
  • Experience in higher education preferred.
