Job Details
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Director of Athletic Development is responsible for developing and facilitating development operations for the Pioneer Club and corporate sponsorships. Supports the Director of Athletics in strategic initiatives and goals for sponsorships and community relations. Cultivate relationships with existing Pioneer Club members and University donors. Solicit new members annually. Review and approve all fundraising strategies proposed by coaches and department employees. Monitor gift pledges and payments made to Pioneer Club and capital projects. Plan, negotiate, develop, and/or implement sponsorship agreements annually. Oversee all Pioneer Club events.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree preferred. 3-5 years’ experience in a related field preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office, and the ability to quickly learn and work with new computer software systems and databases. Must be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
The position is subject to the results of pre-employment testing and background check.
