DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum University seeks qualified candidates for the position of Coordinator of Residence Life and Programming. This position reports to the Dean of Students and serves as the primary professional contact for residence life. The Coordinator serves as staff advisor for Student Government Association (SGA) and Tusculum Activities Board (TAB); assists in developing student programming opportunities across the academic year; and coordinates with campus constituencies to plan and manage student engagement activities. The successful candidate will be familiar with best practices in residence life in higher education. The Coordinator also conducts wellness checks, supports Resident Assistants and Campus Security, always helping to de-escalate situations; accompanies students who are hospitalized or otherwise in need of serious attention; serves as a liaison between students, parents, administration, hospital personnel or other parties in coordination with RA staff; and conducts health and safety inspections to ensure Cooperation between Facilities and students.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, and a Master’s Degree is desired in the following disciplines, college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, or related fields. Experience in planning and implementing student engagement programming in higher education environment is required.
