DESCRIPTION:

Tusculum University is seeking qualified applicants for Associate Director of Talent Search, a federal TRIO Program serving middle and high school students in Cocke County and Unicoi County, Tennessee. This 12-month full-time position report to the Director of TRIO Programs and requires some evening and weekend work. The Associate Director is responsible for the daily operation of the Talen Search program including supervision of staff and program implementation. The Talent Search program is designed to encourage 513 middle and high school students in Cocke and Unicoi Counties to pursue post-secondary education. Talent Search serves students who meet income eligibility guidelines, are potential first-generation college students, and/or demonstrate a need for services. The Associate Director is responsible for recruitment, retention, and participation of program participants in accordance to federal regulations. The Associate Director will supervise the planning and coordination, implementation, and evaluation of academic, social, and cultural programs for students and families. Additional responsibilities include collecting, maintaining, and reporting student outcomes data in accordance with Department of Education Annual Performance Report guidelines for federal TRIO Programs. Candidates for this position must be comfortable conducting virtual meetings and proficient using virtual meeting platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must have a master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in TRIO Programs, education, social or behavioral sciences, counseling, student personnel, or related field; previous personnel management experience preferred. Candidates must exhibit a commitment to the philosophy and goals of the program.
