DESCRIPTION:

The College of Science, Technology, and Mathematics at Tusculum University is seeking applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology.

This is a full-time position. Tusculum faculty are responsible for teaching a minimum of 12 credits in each of the fall and spring semesters, advising, service, scholarship, and professional development. . While Tusculum University is primarily a teaching institution, faculty are expected to participate in research for promotion. Additionally, applicants should be committed to student success and excellence in teaching, mentoring and advising students; assisting with development and implementation of program outcomes; using program evaluation data to enhance, modify or revise curriculum and/or improve educational delivery, etc. Faculty is expected to engage in and contribute toward the good of the College and its community through the maintenance of expertise in the discipline, sharing time and talents with the larger University community, and assisting in ensuring program compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies. Salary is dependent upon education and experience.

The anticipated start date will be August 2024; therefore, the review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications are an earned doctorate degree in Psychology, preferably in any area of experimental or social, though ABD’s will be considered with the recommendation of their PI. Experience with online teaching and the development of online courses is strongly preferred. This position is subject to the results of a pre-employment background check. If hired, the candidate will be required to submit to proof of eligibility to work in the United States as all applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
