Job Details
Tusculum University is seeking applicants for Director of Traditional Admissions. Situated on 140 beautiful acres in East Tennessee, our Campus Community has a lot to offer. Providing our students with an experiential education in a caring Christian Environment is our top priority.
The Director of traditional admissions provides leadership and supervision to the Office of Admissions. This administrator participates in the day-to-day management of engagement with prospective students through monitoring of timely inquiry fulfillment, customer service, and organization of daily office responsibilities. Sets goals, expectations, priorities, and measures of success; prioritizes and distributes work assignments; provides training opportunities; tracks accountability for goals and outreach efforts. Forecasts and monitors budgetary expenditures. Plans and implements recruitment activities and events for an assigned territory, and diverse student population, including programs and travel activities. The candidate should have strong communication and collaboration skills.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree in communications, education, public relations, college recruitment, or related field.
- Prior recruiting experience with a four-year institution.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Highly organized and adaptable to a changing environment.
- Knowledge of financial aid packaging and campus visit processes is preferred.
Work is typically performed in an interior/office environment, however, some off-campus travel is required. The candidate may be required to work irregular hours, some nights and weekends on occasion.
