To assist the Learning Resource Center Coordinator and the Nursing Assistant Program Director to set up and take down labs, organize equipment and supplies. This position will help clean the Nursing Labs as needed.

Terms of Employment:
• This is a part-time (<.50 FTE) Federal Work Study position
• Requires flexible work schedule, which may include evenings and/or weekends as well as travel throughout the district when needed.
•Must have been awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2018-19
•Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
• Upon hire, must pass criminal and/or driving history; only information relevant to the position will be considered.

Job Location is on the Bend Campus.

Essential Functions:

•Receive and unpack supplies, check off packing slips and return to Administrative Assistant Organize, set up and take down Nursing and Nursing Assistant Labs
•Do Laundry- load, wash, dry, fold, put away as time allows
•Cleaning in Labs as needed
•Assisting LRC Coordinator in a variety of tasks
•Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•Ability to communicate oral and written with faculty members
•Familiarity with medical equipment and supplies preferred
•Organizational skills

Physical Demands and Other Ergonomic Requirements:

Ability to lift boxes and supplies, moved beds and mannequins. Standing, bending, crouching, stooping, sitting. 50 lb lifting maximum. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Organization

Central Oregon Community College, the oldest two-year college in Oregon, provides comprehensive college services to the residents of its 10,000-square-mile district.

COCC offers two-year associate degrees, transfer/lower division programs, career and technical education degrees and certificates, developmental courses, continuing education and community learning classes, industry-specific training programs, and business management assistance.

The College's main campus is located on the western edge of Bend, a city known for its natural beauty and its proximity to diverse recreational opportunities. The location affords spectacular views of the mountains from nearly every point on the 201-acre campus. The Redmond Campus, located 20 miles north on 25 acres near the Redmond Municipal Airport, offers all of the courses necessary to earn an associate degree. Thanks to a successful 2009 bond measure, COCC has constructed campus facilities in Madras and Prineville, opening the two campuses in 2011. In Bend, new health careers and science centers opened in 2012 as well as a technology center in Redmond.

A branch of Oregon State University is located on the Bend campus. OSU-Cascades offers upper division and graduate programs on the COCC campus.
