Duties

The Center for Human Phenomic Science (CHPS) provides the resources, environment, operations, and training to support and promote high-quality clinical and translational research for those individuals conducting clinical research. The CHPS has child and adult specific components at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS), respectively, as well as joint components. It supports outpatient facilities and designated inpatient beds for clinical trials, managed by nurses with extensive experience in clinical research.

The Administrative Coordinator will provide support for the daily operations of the CHPS unit located on 4 PCAM. The incumbent will be responsible for scheduling research subjects in EPIC and Beacon and then subsequently checking them in and out of PennChart, will ensure that the appropriate informed consents are completed, and will ensure that all billing (internal and insurance) are properly documented and managed. The individual will be responsible for ordering supplies for the unit. Additionally, the Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for entering data related to all protocol information, maintaining an IND list, managing google documents lists, preparing staff meeting agendas, and developing approval letters and agreements for all protocols.

Qualifications

The minimum of a High School diploma and 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. College degree or coursework is a plus.
