DepartmentProvides a broad range of tri-campus services and support to educational programs by:

Analyzing internal and external trends and recommending educational programming improvements. Planning components of educational programs and program/curriculum design, including the development of handbooks, and program packs. Facilitating educational workshops and seminars. Advising students on program and/or program requirements by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences. Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders. Coordinating the distribution of program material. Updating and maintaining records. Maintaining security and confidentiality of information. Facilitating meetings. Producing complex statistical reports. Serving as a resource to others by providing (nonsupervisory) job-related guidance.


Campus(MINIMUM)

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree and TESL certificate or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
Minimum five years’ experience in a cost-recovery adult English Language Program setting. Demonstrated experience analyzing internal and external trends and recommending educational programming improvements for English Programs. Experience serving as a resource to instructors by providing (nonsupervisory) job-related guidance and advice.

Experience with English Language Programs in the following areas:

    • Planning components of educational program/curriculum design.
    • Facilitating related educational workshops and seminars.
    • Advising students on academic matters.
    • Coordinating projects and strategic initiatives with stakeholders.
    • Facilitating team and one-to-one meetings.
    • Producing complex statistical reports.
    • Providing proactive support to individuals in distress and making referrals

Skills:
Excellent understanding of teaching methodologies within the field of English language education. Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite with use of the following applications: Word, Excel and other spreadsheet and database programs, and Power Point. A high degree of comfort with the SCS registration system, Destiny One, Quercus, or a comparable student information/registrations system. Strong comfort level in working with new technologies including computer- assisted learning and digital learning.

Other:
Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively advise instructors. Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse client needs. Ability to organize and schedule work, and work independently and in a team environment. Exceptional attention to detail. Initiative, creative ability, sound judgment, and superior communication and presentation skills. Ability to exercise a high degree of discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling all work relationships. Accountability for behaving in a manner that demonstrates personal commitment to responsiveness, innovation, teamwork, and professional integrity. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Must be comfortable with providing constructive feedback. Strong analytical and project coordination skills. Must be able to remain adaptable and resilient in a dynamic changing environment. Highly developed business acumen skills.
