Physical Requirements

Sitting and/or standing at a computer for long periods of time; performing repetitive motion tasks; occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds; effectively communicating with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varied professional levels; and intermittent job-related travel.


Monday-Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm; with some evening and weekend work/events; and some evening/weekend travel also required.

Job Summary

Working closely with and reporting to the Director, the Marketing Manager for University Press of Kentucky is responsible for planning departmental activities for approximately 65 new books each year. This prosition is the key publicity contact and supports sales activities. This position manages a current in-house staff of two and up to 5 student workers each semester. The marketing manager maintains close communication with other department heads and participates in team-based problem solving.
