The University of Colorado Boulder Institute for Behavioral Genetics is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow who will perform rodent studies of social bonding and drug-related behaviors to examine the effects of specific genetic pathways that may mediate interplay between these two environmental factors. This will involve behavioral studies, and the use of CRISPRa/I to examine the role of dopamine D1-like receptors in the nucleus accumbems of prairie voles. The postdoctoral fellow should have a PhD in a relevant research area with a track record of high quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Who We Are

The Institute for Behavioral Genetics (IBG) is an organized research unit of the University of Colorado Graduate School dedicated to conducting and facilitating research on the genetic and environmental bases of individual differences in behavior.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be The Postdoctoral Fellow title is granted to persons holding a doctoral degree (or equivalent) and who will be engaged in a defined period of full-time mentored research and/or scholarship and field-appropriate professional activities in preparation for transition into a career. These professional activities may include; performing research/scholarship under direct mentorship, submitting fellowship and/or grant applications, drafting and submitting publications of your research/scholarship, attending and/or presenting your research/scholarship at national and international meetings, mentoring junior trainees, attend responsible conduct of research training, attending professional skills training workshops offered through the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. Secondary responsibilities may be engaged as a part of professional development; however, such activities as lab management and instruction are not primary responsibilities of a Postdoctoral Associate.
