The College of Education and Professional Studies currently has 100 full-time and over 100 part-time faculty organized in seven departments. The college offers 23 undergraduate majors and 28 graduate majors. All teacher education programs are CAEP accredited. Other programs are recognized at the state and national levels with accreditations by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the American Dietetic Association (ADA), the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR), and the Oklahoma Educational Quality and Accountability Commission (OEQA). Temporary Lecturer provides a quality learning experience for students. Performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. The relationship of the Lecturer faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning. Teaching and departmental responsibilities expected.Department Specific Essential Job Functions
Advance growth in the Department of Adult Education and Safety Sciences (AESS) with an emphasis in delivery of blended learning experiences. Teach 12 hour online load in the Department of AESS. Assist in the departmental colleagues with routine assessment such as updating current assessment activities, teach online courses in areas such as: Supervision, organizational dynamics, counseling skills and human resources. Develop practicum/internship procedures for undergraduate programs. As program needs dictate, develop additional courses including updating of dated approved, online courses for online delivery with the approval of the department chair, the dean and CeCE leadership.Qualifications/Experience Required
An earned Master's degree awarded by a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution in the field specified in the position announcement (exceptions require Academic Affairs approval). Possesses excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Qualifications/Experience Preferred
Master's degree in Adult Education, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, Business, Workforce Development or related area required, PhD/EdD preferred. Previous teaching experience in higher education environment is preferred. Previous e-learning experience is preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Competence in e-Learning design and delivery. Evidence of teaching effectiveness/excellence. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Physical Demands
