DESCRIPTION

The Revenue Cycle Applications Analyst provides oversight on a wide variety of duties related to Information Technology applications, specifically with Epic Professional Billing and Charge Router. Responsibilities include serving as technical resource to the team; designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating professional billing information systems for the organization. Responsible for planning, developing, training, implementation, and evaluation of information systems to support ongoing operations and ensure development, evaluation, and ongoing support for all components of the program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.

  • Must obtain certification in primary EMR module(s) within four months of initial hire.

  • Must maintain current certification for primary EMR module(s) as a condition of employment.

  • A minimum of three (3+) or more years of relevant experience in Epic Professional Billing.

  • Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.

  • Demonstrated ability in workflow and data analysis and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, quantitative methods, planning and gap analysis.

  • Proven ability to provide expert consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives affecting clinical care processes. Ability to effectively utilize system tools to meet functionality needs of users.

  • Ability to plan and organize day-to-day activities along with short and long-term projects; in-depth knowledge of organizational and project planning processes and ability to produce and maintain high quality planning documents.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional Billing claims Certification.
  • Professional Billing claims experience.
  • Charge Router experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.
  • Three (3) years Professional Billing build analyst experience.
  • EPIC Certification.
