Job Summary:

Job Function:

The Camp Program Coordinator will handle the day-to-day responsibilities for the coordination, operation and support of this program. The one week camp will serve up to 40 children that are entering the 6, 7 and 8th grade. The coordinator will ensure effective and cohesive daily operations on the training, support and supervision of all camp attendees.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Plan and disseminate program schedule for all activities to counselors and staff.
  2. Inventory all supplies and set up each day’s eventsGreet and welcome all campers & staff each dayOrient all campers to camp rules on first dayRelieve counselors as requiredRemain visible and accessible to staff and campersProvide direct assistance to all program areas (including setup when necessary)and provide counselors with support, ideas, ongoing feedbackCoordinate with Food Service for daily lunch & snack for campers Ensure completion of all relevant forms and surveys related to camperSupervise, organize, and document camp schedule, including attendance, activity rotations, check-in, and release of campers.Attends mandatory training required.Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Work Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children/students in a camp environment or class.
  • Education:

  • High school diploma/GED & a minimum of 1 year of higher education
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree

  • Working Conditions:

    Work will be performed in multiple location across campus with a significant amount of public contact, in person and by telephone and via email.

    Physical Requirements:

      Walking and standing small distances between locationsMay lift up to 20 pounds. If an object weighs more than 45 pounds, OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift.)
