Program Coordinator, Johnson County Adult Education Operations

Manage the day-to-day operations of Johnson County Adult Education program centers (currently 6), including administrative staffing, accounting, procurement, marketing/communications, facilities and technology. Manage directly and/or assist the Program Director in managing daily issues involving staffing, student services, equipment, collateral, scheduling, program records and collaboration with JCCC contacts. Work with other JCAE program leaders as well as JCCC campus contacts to assure efficient, effective program operations. Manage special projects and major events including Volunteer Appreciation Banquet logistics, GED Graduation and two in-service events per year.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Banner and other specialty technology used within the program
  • Strong working knowledge of standard office equipment

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of fund accounting and grants management
  • Records and information management
Required Experience

3+ years' experience hiring, leading and managing staff at multiple, off-site locations

Preferred Experience

  • Broad knowledge of JCCC key contacts and operations
  • Understanding of and commitment to adhering to policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of effective techniques for promoting and building awareness of program services
  • Heart for adult learners and mission of JCAE program
