Job Details
The Department of Counseling at Montclair State University seeks adjunct instructors for its Master of Arts in Counseling programs: Addictions Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling and Student Affairs/Higher Education. Faculty will work in a large diverse program committed to training professional counselors who engage in self-reflective, ethical, and culturally responsive practice.
Qualifications & RequirementsMaster's or doctoral degree in counseling, counselor education, or related field; professional credentials commensurate with specialization (e.g., LPC, LCADC, school counseling certification); as well as evidence of rich counseling experience (3 - 5 years preferred) and successful university teaching, preferably at the graduate level.
Must be familiar with the current CACREP standards, be comfortable working with online learning management systems (e.g., Canvas), and have a teaching philosophy consistent with a social justice mission of the department.
Practical and teaching experience in the following areas is preferred: marriage, couple, and family counseling; appraisal; career counseling; and counseling children and adolescents.
Salary Range$1,475.00 per credit hour as determined by state contract
