The University of Virginia Department of Information Technology Services seeks a Web Developer to join a five-person, internal digital agency team. This position is responsible for the development and support of university-wide websites and applications using Drupal and/or PHP. Projects may involve both front-end and back-end development. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-workstream environment where we strive to design and build the best solutions for our clients.
- Meeting with clients to understand their desired outcomes.
- Communicating effectively with clients throughout projects.
- Site building using the Drupal Administration interface.
- Back-end development of custom modules as required.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development or a related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1+ year of Drupal experience
- Be eager to learn, have strong attention to detail, and have the ability to find creative solutions.
Anticipated hiring range: $65,000 - $80,000 commensurate with education and experience.
This position will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
