Location: Baker College of Allen Park
Compensation: Compensation based on education and existing rates for similar positions within Baker College Professional Services, Inc.
Start Date: August 2019

Reports To: Program Director - Early Childhood Education
Work Schedule: Varies by course section; maximum of 28 hours per week

Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of ADJUNCT FACULTY - EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (PART-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Allen Park.

General Statement of Duties:

The primary purpose of the Part-Time Adjunct Faculty is to teach courses in area of expertise.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in a related area from an accredited college or university with work experience preferred
  • Master’s degree in one of the following areas required: Early childhood education, Family and child ecology, child development, special education with extensive early childhood education experience, Education with extensive early childhood education experience
  • OR Master’s degree in social work (licensed) from an accredited college or university with extensive early childhood education experience, Child psychology with extensive early childhood education experience required
  • ZA or ZS endorsement preferred
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite, Blackboard, Solar, Google Apps, and the Internet
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to teach daytime, evening, and weekend classes for the above courses
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach up to a maximum 9 credit hours per semester
  • Revise, review and/or develop curriculum, as needed
  • Complete all required professional development/training
  • Collect and submit required assessment of student learning data
  • Participate in appropriate campus and system committees, meetings, projects, and activities
  • Other duties as assigned
