Human Resources has a part-time (around 20-25 hours/week), temporary opening for an Office Assistant. This position will serve as the main point of contact for the department’s reception area and will be responsible for a variety of office/administrative duties. There is also opportunity to assist with HR projects relating to benefits, recruitment, orientation, and other human resources functions. This position requires the ability to maintain and respect confidential, sensitive information and work in a dynamic, customer-driven, professional environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering the telephone, greeting visitors to the department, document image filing, photocopying, faxing, overseeing department email account, responding to inquiries, assisting applicants, opening and distributing office mail. Projects relating to benefits, recruitment, orientation, and other human resources functions will be added to position after training.

Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of receptionist and/or administrative support experience.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point, and calendaring software.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal day-to-day direction.
• High regard for confidentiality.

The Community
