Job Summary
Tutor students within the Learning Support Department.
**This position will be open until filled.
Tutor I - $13.08/hr
Earned 30 credit hours and a minimum 3.0 GPA in the subject area to be tutored
Tutor II - $13.86/hr
Associates Degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA in the subject area to be tutored
Tutor III - $16.51/hr
Bachelors Degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the subject area to be tutored
Tutor IV - $18.55/hr
Masters Degree with expertise in the area to be tutored
- Knowledge of the discipline/disciplines
- Knowledge of computer software application.
- Knowledge of the internet as a tool.
- Knowledge and ability to identify and communicate learning goals and objectives with students in the area assigned.
- Skills to learn fast and to help others to build effective and efficient learning strategy.
- Skill in effectively communicating both orally and in writing.
- Interpersonal skills to engage students in active learning.
- Skill in providing customer service to students, staff and the public.
- Skill in basic record keeping and report preparations.
- Skills to adapt to learn needs.
- Skills to identify the needs of the tutoring team and to work interchangeably with tutors in the Learning Support Department.
