Duties

Coordinates a wide range of activities for RWJF National Program Office (NPO) for the Future of Nursing Scholars Program working in collaboration with the National Director and NPO team. Key responsibilities will include: Coordinating meeting and conference planning as instructed by the Deputy Director and Associate Director; Drafting agendas and minutes, compiling materials; Developing systems to anticipate and maintain office supply inventory and purchasing needs; Coordinating and maintaining Director’s program responsibilities using Microsoft Outlook; Ensuring the Director is prepared for all meetings with all relevant materials; Processing and tracking vendor payments; Providing administrative support to national program office team as needed including travel arrangements and expense reimbursement tracking. Some non-traditional hours are expected, including travel to the summer institutes. May provide departmental support as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years progressively responsible administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with competing deadlines and priorities. Excellent customer service orientation essential. The position requires strong initiative and sound judgment with the capacity to exercise discretion in working with highly confidential matters. Solid written and oral communication skills with the ability to compose and edit written documents essential. A systems thinker with a results orientation is needed for success in this role. Demonstrated intermediate to advanced level PC skills including all facets of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook) includes ability to update web content. Ability to work autonomously as well as an effective team player. Fast keyboarding needed, at least 50 wpm. Knowledge of University policies and procedures desired.
