The Gracewood Campus is an ICF/IID and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) that provides care and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Job duties include:

Provides direction and supervision to the departments of nursing with collaboration with the facility administrator and clinical director of the hospital for Mental Health and Development Disabilities. Manages human resource and employee relation functions for the nursing department. Maintains staffing in the nursing departments to ensure most effective and efficient use of resources as measured by cost and quality criteria. Maintains statistics on nurse staffing and utilization, and uses these to evaluate effectiveness of program. Identifies, develops, and implements a systematic and continuous quality improvement program that includes measures to improve quality, appropriateness, safety, and consistency of nursing. Maintains awareness of current The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS), and other state, federal, and other regulatory standards to direct the quality improvement activities and achieve compliance. Creates and maintains a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong commitment to an inter-professional treatment approach. Ensures that all staff within the nursing department (nurses and direct care staff) are actively engaged in ongoing quality staff development activities including orientation, in-service training, workshops, and continuing education. Works in collaboration with ECRH liaison for CON to develop strategies to support linkages and opportunities for engagement between the College of Nursing and the nurses hired through ECRH/CON partnership Works in a collaborative manner with the CON Psych/Mental Health faculty to develop and promote quality clinical experiences for students.
