The duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for management, provisioning, and deployment of virtual lab solution (NETLAB+); setup virtual servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc., in accordance with standards and learning objective requirements for the NETLAB software; create and manage student accounts to access the software; develop/maintain configuration and operational procedures; research and recommend innovative new technology for system administration tasks
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs; perform regular archival (backup processes) and purge as necessary; assist faculty in developing course lab projects and integrating technology in the curriculum; research and recommend hardware/software upgrades; plan and recommend purchases for future growth and expansion
• Follow IT Change Management Processes to apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities; perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required; configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required; perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning for future growth; maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
