Position Summary
Job Summary
The Head Women's Basketball reports to the Director of Athletics. The primary task is to organize, recruit and develop successful Women's Basketball program in concert with the academic mission of the university. In addition, a secondary administrative responsibility will be assigned.
Specific Responsibilities

  • Recruit quality student-athletes for the basketball program
  • Develop and conduct organized practices
  • Develop a schedule that includes representative and competitive contests
  • Develop and maintain sport budget
  • Counsel student-athletes in a positive manner
  • Coordinate fundraising opportunities for the basketball program, if appropriate
  • Fulfill a secondary administrative duty as assigned
  • Develop positive rapport with athletics staff, as well as SU community
  • Represent the university to various constituents in a professional manner

    Required Qualifications
    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
    Excellent speaking and writing skills necessary, as well as the ability to be a well-organized self-starter.
    Bachelor's degree in related field required.
    Minimum of 3-5 years of basketball coaching experience required.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Master's degree preferred.
    Coaching experience at the college level preferred.
