Malcolm X College (MXC) is leading the charge with a focus on Health Sciences, while maintaining a positive commitment to exceptional instruction. Located near the Illinois Medical District, MXC is home to a state-of-the-art School of Health Sciences, featuring a virtual hospital, which also houses the City Colleges of Chicago School of Nursing. 
The Clinical Education Manager serves as an integral part of the Health Sciences team at Malcolm X College by assisting in the initiation, development, and maintenance of clinical affiliation agreements, preparing and delivering reports on clinical site activities, and supporting the Clinical Education Director with student clinical placements. 
  • Assist with the process of attaining clinical affiliation agreements and certificates of insurance, including initiating and maintaining the agreements.  
  • Supervise and manage full and part-time clinical coordinator site visit frequency and student placement. 
  • Provide support with student clinical placement for various programs.  
  • Collaborate with the Director of Medical Programs - Clinical Education to evaluate the clinical site needs and areas of potential growth.  
  • Assist with the collection of data and reports on clinical site utilization and evaluation. 
  • Manage the daily workflow for collaborating on the clinical affiliation agreements; develop clinical site relationships, placement of students at various clinical sites for Health Science and Nursing Programs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate clinical site needs and potential areas of growth.  
  • Support the process of clinical affiliation agreements and the certification of insurance for clinical sites.  
  • Maintain current and develop future relationships with clinical sites for student placement. 
  • Provide support to students with clinical placements. 
  • Assist with data collection, reporting and evaluation of clinical sites.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher Health Sciences, Nursing, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a clinical setting. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 
  • Self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
