Provides clerical and administrative support to a departmental office or program.Information for This Posting Only

o Provide short-term support and customer service assistance during the student course registration period

***Summer 2019 position, funding not expected to continue after August 31, 2019***Description of Duties and TasksEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs office duties in support of faculty, staff, and/or student efforts, including word processing, data entry, maintaining files, processing mail, and duplication.
  • Gathers, compiles, and enters data, producing routine reports and documents.
  • Produces handouts, fliers, newsletters, brochures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Answers the telephone, routes calls, or takes messages; responds to and/or directs inquiries in person or on the telephone.
  • May input budget figures, prepares requisitions, logs and tracks expenditures, takes payments, or issues invoices or bills.
  • Maintains tracking systems and logs.
  • Operates office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.
  • Additional Job Specific Duties

    Assist students with navigating ACC online registration system

    o Provide registration information and material handouts to students in-person

    o Assists with general in-person student questions and referrals to other departments.

    o Informing students of the various resources available to ACC students

    o Be present, visible, and available to students requiring assistance

    o Responsible for maintaining a clean work area for students which include regular straightening and light cleaning

    o Attend all scheduled staff meetings or training programs

    o As needed, greets visitors, students, and/or employees and responds to requests for information and provides assistance.

    o Assists with additional duties as assigned

    Work is routinely performed in a standard office or similar environment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.Safety
