Position Summary:


The student worker position is specifically for students enrolled at Lone Star College System and functions as a support position to the Visual Communications Department under direct supervision.


Job Functions: 

  • Performs routine duties of a support nature to the Visual Communications Department. 
  • Provides general information and direction and ensures accuracy of data or information.
  • Typical duties include record maintenance, preparation of forms, verifications of information, data entry, and low level problem solving.
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
Salary: 
Hiring Salary is $7.25/hour (not to exceed 19.5 hours per week). This is a part-time position for currently enrolled students.

Work Schedule & Conditions:


PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment.


Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position.


Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Enrollment in college courses at Lone Star College.
