Position Summary: 

Under close supervision, performs basic cleaning and custodial duties in assigned area(s).  Involves extensive physical labor, safety and working with cleaning products.

Job Functions: 

1. Cleans assigned area to standards set by college and supervisor
2. Duties include, but are not limited to: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, waxing, washing windows, cleaning and restocking restrooms, picking up and emptying trash
3. Utilize specialized equipment to strip, wax, and buff hard floors
4. Cleans carpet
5. Properly mixes and labels chemicals
6. Sets up and breaks down tables and chairs, including room set up for events/meetings
7. Maintains safety standards at all times including not mixing chemicals and cleaners, using equipment properly, lifting, stooping, and bending properly
8. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Must be able to effectively communicate through oral and written processes for receiving and performing assignments
• Educational background, which provides the ability to read, write, understand and follow both oral and written instructions
• Proficiency in use of custodial equipment needed to accomplish assigned duties

Salary: 
$15.50/hour

Work Schedule & Conditions: 

• Evenings and weekends
