  Position Summary: 

The responsibility of the PT Specialist IV – Accounts Payable is to utilize skills to analyze and resolve A/P issues. He or She makes decisions based on knowledge, experience, and Lone Star College policies and procedures. He or She acts as a subject matter expert in assigned area, on issues related to Commerce Bank and ACH vendors, imaging, and related job duties. He or She is responsible for guiding and providing work leadership to other A/P specialists

  Job Functions:
  1. Create solutions to search, digest, and consolidate information from various sources, to support the recruitment, enrollment, and updates for eSettlement and Visa Vendor Credit Card Control Pay vendors.
  2. Pay invoices by credit card, via phone or internet, for Visa Vendor Credit Card Control Pay Manual Payments.
  3. Research and solve unaccepted Visa Vendor Credit Card Control Pay payments by working with vendors, and establishing new contacts as needed, and following up with the vendor until payment is successful.
  4. Create, analyze, and deliver daily voucher reviews for correction, after inspection of vouchers for quality and accuracy.
  5.  Provide leadership, support, and guidance to other Accounts payable staff.
  6. Review and format Commerce Bank weekly transaction reports, create and deliver daily pay cycle register reports, voucher invoices, organize received invoices and AP related physical records, provide weekly status reports, provide related support for fiscal year-end functions.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:   Physical Abilities:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.   Salary:
$13.41   Work Schedule & Conditions:
  • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

Qualifications

Required:
