Position SummaryThe Department of Marketing, Eli Broad College of Business, Michigan State University invites applications for a pool of qualified fixed-term instructors to teach one or more undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Marketing and/or Master of Science in Marketing Research, with possible course creation or additional support for students and/or research.

There is a current need for the 2019-20 academic year in the Master of Science in Marketing Research program for a part-time instructor to create and teach a one-credit online course on Social Media Research and Analytics, and a part-time instructor to create and teach a one-credit course on Marketing Research Communications.

Please note that a position could be part-time or full-time and may vary by semester, depending on the needs of the department.It is possible that no position will be needed in some semesters. Renewal may be possible based on department teaching needs, funding, and performance.Salary and terms are negotiable depending on experience and rank.

Position is planned to recur every Summer Semester

Masters -Marketing

Minimum RequirementsThe position of Assistant Instructor requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university along with significant experience in the desired area of expertise in which we have need for instructors.

Desired QualificationsA Master’s degree is preferred or a Bachelor’s degree with significant experience in the desired area of expertise. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence and/or significant work experience in one or more of the following areas:

Social Media Research and Analytics

Marketing Research Communications

Online Research Communities

Research Automation

Consultative Selling

Pricing, Profitability, and Marketing Metrics

New Product Innovation/Development

Specific areas of expertise desired for the 2019-20 part-time positions include Social Media Research and Analytics, and Marketing Research Communications.
