General Summary This position serves as a Grant Support Specialist in the College of Education at Illinois State University. The incumbent has the primary role of working with principal investigators across college departments, school, and centers to identify, prepare, edit, submit, and manage external grants. The incumbent will also serve as liaison between the principal investigators and related support offices (agencies, on-campus support units, etc.).

Required Qualifications 1. Master's degree in a field related to the position

2. Demonstrated ability to produce high-level, scholarly contributions in the field of higher education

3. A minimum of 5 years of full time or part-time equivalent experience as a journal reviewer or editor for peer-reviewed articles or journals in the field of education

4. A minimum of 5 years of full time or part-time equivalent experience working with federal and non-federal grants, as well as the pre- and post-award process

5. Knowledge of institutional history, mission, and vision

6. History of successfully securing and managing a minimum of 5 grants from external funding agencies (state, federal, international).

7. Ability to work independently on large, complex editing assignments within tight time constraints

Desired Qualifications: 1. Earned terminal degree from an accredited institution

2. Extensive experience writing or editing large grants in the field of education

3. Experience as a faculty member in higher education, preferably in the field of education
