 Professionals at the intermediate levelare responsible for exercising discretion, analytical skill, personalaccountability and responsibility in a wide range of areas including academic,administrative, managerial and student services functions. Work involvescreating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to aprofessional field.

The Postdoc Training Coordinator isresponsible for monitoring and coordination of the postdoctoral trainingprograms in the Department of Psychiatry. Currently there are two post-doc programs, the Harris Infant MentalHealth program and the Developmental Psychobiology Research Group (DPRG) T32funded program.  This position will beresponsible for each of these two programs as well as the development ofpotential additional training programs as the department grows.  The Postdoc Training Coordinator will workwith the Postdoc Training Manager the Chair and Vice Chairs of the departmentand training programs to provide high quality training and to develop new andinnovative opportunities. 


 HarrisProgram has 3-4 fulltime fellows and 3-4 community fellows per year: Assisting with day to dayadministrative duties of the Harris Infant Mental Health PostdoctoralFellowship, including annual recruitment, position and time management forpostdoctoral fellows and Harris faculty, management of course schedules andcalendars, aiding in onboarding/training materials, event planning forrecruitment/orientation, supply purchasing, and additional administrativeduties.   

 Knowledge of programs such as Endnote aswell as knowledge of the CU research and regulatory rules and regulations ispreferred.  This role will also beexpected to maintain current knowledge of Federal, State, CU Medicine, and UCDHuman Resources and employment policies and procedures, including FMLA, ADA,Worker’s Compensation, Extended Leave, and any other pertinent regulations, toensure compliance in department employment practices and to assist faculty andstaff with questions related to these regulations.

 DPRGProgram has 6 fundedtrainees per year and is in its 40th training year:

The Postdoc Training Coordinator isresponsible for aiding in the recruitment and selection process, onboarding ofnew Fellows, maintaining the Fellowship bi-weekly seminars, aiding in grantprogress reporting and resubmissions, and data management.

 Salary and Benefits:The hiring salary for this position is$37,937 - $49,697 and is negotiable and commensurate with skills andexperience.

 This position is not eligible forovertime compensation

Conditions of Employment:
Must be willing and able to work 28 hours/week with opportunities to expand to 40 hours/week.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessionalexperience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for yearbasis. PreferredQualifications:

  • Professionalexperience with finance related duties: budget management, gathering and analyzing data to prepare reports
  • Experienceutilizing technology that support business operations in higher education (HCMor related HRIS systems, eProcurement system, CU SIS , CU Market Place, CUM-Fin reports etc.).
  • Abilityto communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Abilityto establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at alllevels throughout the institution.
