DescriptionJob Purpose: Provide professional services in support of unit management infield as specified in the particular job posting. Focus will be in aprofessional field such as Communications, Marketing, Customer Service,Academic Administration, Event Management, Procurement, etc. Specific dutieswill be determined based on assignment and unit needs.

 Major Responsibilities:
  • Perform duties related to professional field assignment.
  • Participate in reviews for compliance with policy and governmental regulations in the field.
  • Provide input to department policies and procedures.
  • May provide input to and administer project timelines and budgets.
  • May interact with vendors regarding procurement and delivery issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Work Experience: Zero to two years job related experience
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Skills: This job requires application of professional principles, processes and practices; application of regulations; utilization of basic and advanced computer applications including those specific to areas of responsibility; communication skills.

  • Preferred Work Experience: At least 2-3 years of job-related experience

  • Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently
  • Additional duties may include, but are notlimited to:

  • Serves as liaison between the GIFT mentor, fellow, and school districts
  • Establish and maintain continuous communication with assigned teachers throughout the summer
  • Assist in planning and implementing large and small group meetings of teachers and other participants as needed
  • Complete and assist with ongoing evaluations of GIFT program
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Additional Information: This role will serve in the capacity of CEISMC GIFT Facilitator and will report to theEducational Outreach Manager. CEISM's GIFT Program - in collaboration withuniversities and businesses across the state, offers Georgia K-12 Science,Math, and Technology teachers paid 4-7 week internships in Science, Technology,Engineering and Math (STEM).

    This is a temporary position, limited to 1300hours or 12 consecutive months, and subject to ACA and GT guidelines fortemporary employment.
