The Department of Management in the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business at the University of Missouri (MU) invites applicants--advanced associate and full professors--for the Leggett & Platt Distinguished Professor of Information Systems. The Department of Management is seeking outstanding scholars with a stellar record of publications in the leading information system journals, proven college and executive level teaching ability, and collegiality in service roles.Qualifications
The successful candidate is expected to take a leadership role in expanding course offerings in the information systems area in the department, and to facilitate IS extensions within the College and across campus, including collaborations with recent joint hires with the College of Engineering. Preference will be given to applicants who augment and complement existing research/teaching capabilities at Trulaske, which include big data analytics, cybersecurity, and AI/machine learning.Other Information
The Department of Management consists of three research-oriented faculty groups: Information Systems, Analytics, & Technology; People & Organizations (OB/HR); and Strategy, Innovation & Entrepreneurship. We are building a revitalized department based on reimagining how business and business education will serve our constituents into the future. We prepare students to be leaders able to work with a diverse group of people in entrepreneurial and technology settings: in large established firms, small and medium sized growth businesses, and entrepreneurial startups.The Trulaske College of Business consists of about 65 full-time faculty members who serve approximately 5,000 undergraduates, 285 master’s students, and 35 doctoral students.
