The University of Missouri has an opening for an outstanding Clinician Educator in the Department of Radiology. The successful applicant will assume responsibility for the development and implementation of an innovative radiology and anatomy curriculum for each of the 4 years of medical school education at the University of Missouri. They will create and utilize pioneering learning materials geared toward the current generation of learners. The University of Missouri School of Medicine has a patient-based-learning curriculum and mainly small group teaching. The successful applicant will be the primary liaison between the medical school and the department of radiology, and will be expected to serve as a mentor to medical students. Additionally, the successful applicant will assume a leadership role in radiology resident and fellow education. A proven track record of excellence and innovation in medical education is strongly desired. Protected nonclinical time will be provided to support curriculum development and teaching activities. ABR certified or eligible, and fellowship training in any sub specialty area of radiology. All ranks and tenure or non-tenure tracks. Faculty rank and track will be commensurate with credentials and experience. The faculty member will have the opportunity to assist in the growth of the radiologic services, as well as participate in research and scholarly activities. The available equipment is state-of-the-art. Approximately 250,000 exams are performed each year serving the University Hospital & Clinics, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, and Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The department also has an Imaging Center with MRI, US, CT and X-Ray capabilities.
