SCAD seeks a part-time shop monitor to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the day to day procedure in the jewelry studio of the SCAD School of Fashion.

In this role, you’ll advise and support students in the safe and correct operation of shop equipment; oversee the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of shop spaces and classrooms; supervise check-out tools and machinery; and be prepared to render first aid as needed for minor incidents.

Additionally, you will assist professors and students during class sessions, attend all college-sponsored safety and security training sessions, and enforce all lab and shop policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate is a former student in the SCAD Jewelry Department and/or have related field experience. You must be familiar with studio equipment, jewelry fabrication techniques, and safety procedures.

Requirements:
- Working knowledge of jewelry studio equipment, hand tools, fabrication techniques, applicable computer programs, and safety.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred, high school diploma required.
