Across three continents and online, SCAD curates digital design coursework through advanced learning resources and cutting-edge technology to ensure students advance their knowledge and practice as they prepare for creative careers. General education courses in technology proficiency and digital fluency provide the foundation for majors in specialized art and design disciplines. The numerous recognition of SCAD students through the Adobe Design Achievement Awards, Clio Fashion and Beauty Awards and top honors at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) College Game Competition evidence the rigor of their preparation for success in a world connected through technology and design.

You have an opportunity to join the SCAD general education faculty as a full-time computer art professor. The department is seeking accomplished professionals with recent experience in the latest industry technologies and professional practices. As a professor, you will instruct students on the use of various design software, vector and raster graphics, image compositing, web design, and 2-D and 3-D animation, including project management and collaboration techniques with Microsoft Office 365, the Google software suite and Adobe Creative Suite. Using your design expertise, technical skills and knowledge of industry trends, you will help students find their creative niche as they experiment with the same professional instruments and immersive design technologies they will soon use in the workplace and prepare them for success in creative careers.

One of the fastest growing cities in the U.S., Atlanta provides professionals an ideal environment to live, work and play. Located in the heart of Midtown, SCAD Atlanta is home to a dynamic cultural landscape that includes theaters, museums, fine art galleries, bustling shops and countless green spaces, including Piedmont Park and Atlanta’s famed BeltLine. The capital of the New South, Atlanta provides both southern charm and the ebb and flow of an alpha city.
