SCAD Savannah seeks an Information Security Analyst to ensure effective protection of the university’s digital information.

In this role, you’ll manage deployed security appliances, incident response and incident management measures; information security policy development and enforcement of policies and applicable laws; and coordinating the investigation and reporting of security incidents. Information security analysts work daily with various departments of SCAD information technology, regularly performing network penetration tests, application vulnerability assessments, data loss prevention scans and risk assessment reviews. Receiving general direction from the director of information security and technology operations, you will lead security initiatives and work across departments and university locations to resolve complex technical problems.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and operates efficiently under tight deadlines and high workloads. This is a high-level position involving exposure and access to highly confidential material, and discretion and confidence are of the utmost importance.

The candidate should have experience managing endpoint solutions technology from leading vendors, including CrowdStrike, FireEye, Palo Alto, Sophos and Trend, and working experience with tools used in network security, including data loss prevention, intrusion prevention systems and Wireshark. The candidate should also have knowledge in incident or malware response, including chain of evidence practices and analysis using proprietary and open-source forensics tools.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
- Two or more years of experience using Splunk to perform security information and event management (SIEM), or extensive leading-vendor SIEM experience and working experience in managing Splunk in IT environments
- Five or more years of hands-on experience with enterprise endpoint security solutions in large-scale hybrid endpoint environments (Windows, Mac OS, Linux/Unix)
- Experience administering and deploying multi-factor authentication solutions to protect critical business services; experience with DUO Security preferred
- Knowledge of information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 27001/2, NIST, PCI, and rules and regulations surrounding data privacy requirements (FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR)
- One or more certificates (CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, CEH, GIAC) or solution-specific technical certifications preferred
