Job Details
Join SCAD and ensure that a high level of instructional design is maintained throughout the life of each of the university’s online learning development projects.
In this role, you will employ industry-standard principles in the design of education for online delivery and provide feedback and advice to faculty at every stage of course development. You’ll conduct needs assessments and task analyses to include terminal and enabling objectives. Additionally, you must design effective performance measurement and evaluation strategies.
The ideal candidate possesses experience in online distance education, strong web-authoring skills, and working knowledge of HTML and at least one WYSIWYG editor, preferably Adobe Dreamweaver. You should have broad knowledge of web-based eLearning and other new media applications as well as exceptional reading comprehension, superior communication skills, and the ability to write and edit materials in English. Experience working with course management systems, preferably Blackboard, is required, as are the abilities to manage projects to successful, on-time completion, work well in a team environment, and effectively interact with a variety of academic constituencies.

— Bachelor’s degree, preferably in instructional design or comparable discipline; graduate degree preferred
