The College of Arts, Education and Sciences at Clarion University invite applications of qualified candidates to fill an anticipated temporary full-time faculty position for the 2019 – 2020 academic year. Individuals hired may be offered an additional year 2020 – 2021 based on acceptable evaluation of performance and student enrollment demand.

The position requires teaching four courses each semester, including upper-division courses in Early Childhood, English methods, and Reading and Languages Arts, as well as teacher candidate field supervision. Courses may be taught online and face-to-face. Qualified individuals should have a minimum of a Master’s degree in English Language Arts, Reading Specialist or Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Education teaching experience. The candidates must complete a successful interview process.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in English Language Arts, Reading Specialist or Early Childhood Education, and Early Childhood Education teaching experience. Teaching certification with three (3) years classroom experience, as well as higher education experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate in Reading Education or Early Childhood Education, PA teaching certification, early childhood education coursework, with online instruction experience, clinical supervision experience, as well as professional development school experience.
