The Butler University Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science invites applications for the position of Instructor in Mathematics for the 2019-2020 academic year. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility is to teach 12 credit hours per semester of introductory level mathematics courses such as calculus for STEM majors, calculus for business, college algebra, or introductory statistics. The appointment is for one year and is not a tenure track position. Qualifications: A master’s or doctoral degree (or its equivalent) in an appropriate discipline is required. Instructors are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, good communication skills, and a commitment to a collegial and supportive academic environment.
