Position SummaryPerform diagnostic evaluations, skilled maintenance and repairs on the most complex equipment and parts in the Department of Film & Television, Tisch School of the Arts. Serve as a resource to junior technical support staff in the maintenance and repair of equipment and assist with training. Oversee daily operations for assigned area of operation including coordinating work schedules. Prepare and conduct technical seminars, workshops, and individual training for students, faculty and staff on proper use of equipment. Consult with students and faculty on a variety of production needs including instruct on operation of analog and digital equipment. Maintain facility inventory and ensure security.QualificationsRequired Education:High School diploma and relevant technical training or equivalent.Preferred Education:Relevant certification.Required Experience:3-5 years of related experience. Experience providing customer support in an academic and/or production-related environment. Experience in an equipment repair facility.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of/ability to repair wide variety of equipment. Skilled at troubleshooting. Skill level for operating and repairing equipment is so advanced that this position is seen as a technical resource to other staff members.
