Assistant Data Analyst

This position is only available to current UCI employees.

The University of California, Irvine, Health Policy Research Institute conducts research in prostate cancer, diabetes, children's health, health disparities and health policy. We are seeking to hire a highly self-motivated, dedicated Assistant Data Analyst with excellent professional, interpersonal, and communication to join our research team. This Assistant Data Analyst will assist with statistical data analysis of medical information for the ongoing research study. The position is based in the campus of University of California, Irvine. This Assistant Data Analyst will be supervised by Drs. Sheldon Greenfield and Sherrie Kaplan of Health Policy Research Institute. Applicants for this position will be expected to perform the following duties:

1. Replicate/validate clinical data from HPRI or collaborating research institutions to compare variances in models to patient outcomes in multiple research studies.
2. Evaluate the relative contribution of genomic markers for prediction such as the Decipher Prostate Cancer Test, a genomic prognostic marker for prediction of future metastatic disease, as well as the multigene panel test known as ProstateNext to the risk prediction model for estimating treatment outcomes.
3. Assist with ongoing development of a 'sustainable' registry across major healthcare systems in Southern California, with collaborative infrastructure and analytic capability to evaluate relative contributions of patient characteristics, biomarkers of disease severity and genomic prognostic markers.
4. Assist faculty with clinical data analysis on multiple research studies.

The position is a 100% contract appointment, dependent on research funding. This position is expected to last through 9/30/19.

Salary: Hourly $21.54
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
Contract Position.
