Job Description:
Responsibilities:
General
Coaching Duties
- Scout every third opponent on the schedule and help prepare/execute the game plan.
- Develop players on a daily basis through film study, individual skill instruction, and on court coaching during practice.
- Help oversee all special situations during games and provide feedback on ways for implementation and improvement
Administrative
Other
Relationships:
Dailycontactwithmembersofownworkunit,immediatesupervisor,studentathletes,student managers, other institutions and general public.
Frequentcontactwithotherdepartments,thegeneralpublic,andsponsors.
Reports To: Head Men's Basketball Coach
Workisperformedindependentlyonroutinework,non-routine issues or questions are referred to the supervisor.
Education/SkillRequirements:
Bachelors Degree.
ExtensiveknowledgeofallconferenceandNCAApolicies,rules,andregulationsand adhereto these policies as they pertain to the duties and responsibilities of the job.
Abilitytoworkeffectivelywithcollegestudentathletes,athleticstaff,UniversitypersonnelandAlumni.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Independentjudgmentisnecessarytoplan,prioritizeandorganizeadiversifiedworkloadwith attention to detail.
Timemanagement skillsandtheabilitytomultitaskareessentialtosuccessfulperformanceofthis position.
